- DISCIPLE CMC Mens Bible StudyRolled out of bed this morning and got on my motorcycle. Just like every other morning. Brushed my teeth, let the dog out, strapped my laptop to my bike and took off. Most of my cares and thoughts are gone after ten miles, which leaves me plenty of time to pray on the way in to work. 30 miles, one way, to work. And back. But today was unusual. Its the third Friday, thats the DISCIPLE Men's Bible Study. We get together and share some time in the word together. By 623am i was on the road, stopped for gas, and hit the freeway. At 648 i pulled up to the office, and made coffee. Everyone showed up a few minutes later, also a bag of Bojangles sausage and egg buscuits! We ate, drank coffee and listened to "I Just Know" by Disciple (you gotta check that song out!) and some other Christian hardcore. We did some work on our rags, and talked club business for a few minutes. Finally Matt opened in prayer and we jumped into Proverbs 18. I was taught years ago that there are 31 chapters in Proverbs, same number of days in the month, so why not read a the same chapter of the date, daily? Proverbs 18:4 stuck out to Scott, "The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but the fountains of wisdom is a bubbling brook." We talked about how there is so much more to what people are saying than the words that they say. As we read through the chapter it seemed like each of us found scriptures that spoke to us for the day. After Bible Study was done, we hung out for another hour and listened to different Christian music, and compared bands. I learned of a new band i hadnt heard of before, and will definitly be checking out, called War of Ages. We also talked about going out to some local Christian hardcore shows. I love being in a Christian Motorcycle Club!Overall, a great way to start the day! God is Great!
- Wow, Today
So i cant express all of today, so im going with chunks, and i'll try to fill them all in later.A baby goat, to bottle feed. Wow if my wife and kid hear about that. Thanks Pack Rat from Bikers for Christ Lexington Chapter, I will let you know.Ministering means serving. Serving means you receive a blessing. So i cooked some dogs, and stacked some chairs for Dooley, and now Eddie B offered to produce 10 songs for my album, FOR FREE!! Wow, God is Great.Tracy rode on my bike today. My wife offered this honor up because Tracy wanted to ride. Tracy is really cool, and i think my wife mad a lifelong friend today. God is Great. I want Godly women for my wife to love.Rob and i were riding circles around the gas pumps at the station today. We were chasing each other while Matt got gas. Its dumb, but we're bikers. Sheriff pulls in and pulls me over, yelling at me with a red face, going to give me a 6 point reckless driving. Then he asks me if i was the one who came over and shook his hand, when he had to pull SWAT team duty across the street from the Hells Angels run. Turns out he has a cross in his cop car. He writes me a warning and laughs it off. God is Great. - Sons Of God MC, Soldiers For Jesus MC
Friday 3/17/10Looking forward to a little ride up to Winnsboro, SC tomorrow to meet up with the Sons Of God MC up there. They have invited us to their Bible Study, so we are making a Friday night of it, and going to have some fun. We are trying to reach out to all the other Christian Motorcycle Clubs out there, to begin spreading the Light!Next weekend we ride out to meet up with the Soldiers For Jesus MC. This chapter is based out of NC, but will be in the area, so we are taking the chance to ride out and meet them. Ive really been blessed by my interaction with Hammer, one of their SC guys, and just feel that kindred spirit, even though we've never met, you know? This is what its all about...meeting the brothers, Ride Enough To Rock Our World! - God is Great
Riding season is coming up, which is funny to say, cuz this is South Carolina and all year is riding season as far as I am concerned. But i have to admit, the 19F mornings on the way to work were cold, and I sure didn't see many other bikes on the road. With the season here, watch the website for regular updates about events in the area that we will be attending. Please feel free to call our hotline and find out when the next ride is. If you are a biker looking for a ride to attend, well, we are always on the move! Our last run was the Hells Angels Run here in Lexington SC. We went out to shine a little light, and had a great time.We will look forward to riding with you, stay safe!
